WEB Reddick Takes Kansas Cup Victory

WEB Reddick held off a hard-charging Denny Hamlin to win the NASCAR Cup race at Kansas Speedway. Reddick took the lead with just over 20 laps to go and held on to win by a mere 0.327 seconds. Hamlin, who led 63 laps, finished second, while Kyle Larson finished third.
Larson recovered from an early penalty to finish in the top three. He was running second when he was penalized for speeding on pit road. He dropped back to the tail end of the field but was able to battle his way back up to third.
The race was a thrilling one from start to finish. There were several lead changes and the top three drivers were separated by less than a second for much of the race. Reddick's victory was his fourth at Kansas and his first of the season.
In the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race, John Hunter Nemechek led every lap to win the race. Carson Hocevar and Zane Smith finished second and third, respectively.
The NASCAR weekend at Kansas Speedway will conclude on Sunday with the NASCAR Xfinity Series race.
