Hallie Biden Testifies About Hunter Biden's Drug Use

Hallie Biden, the widow of President Joe Biden's eldest son Beau, testified Thursday that Hunter Biden was in the throes of his drug addiction when she began dating him in 2016.
Hallie Biden, who is now 42, said she met Hunter Biden at a bar in Washington, D.C., and that they started dating shortly after. She said that Hunter Biden was "very charming" and that she was attracted to his "intelligence" and "sense of humor."
However, Hallie Biden said that she quickly realized that Hunter Biden had a serious drug problem. She said that he would often disappear for days at a time and that when he returned, he would be "high" and "erratic."
Hallie Biden said that she tried to help Hunter Biden get sober, but that he was unwilling to accept help. She said that she eventually broke up with him in 2019.
